Challenge
A concern couple contacted Radon Defense Midwest after conducting a home test for radon using an activated charcoal kit. They found they had a high reading of 7.2 PCI. Once Radon Defense Midwest was contacted, we knew we needed to help with the action of mitigating their home in order to provide a healthy living space. Upon the inspection of our licensed technician, we discovered that the home had multiple entry points for radon. With it being a difficult design, we sat down with our concerned homeowners and gave them the options as far as placement and the work to be done to help reduce the radon levels.
Solution
On May 20th, 2022 We sent out our licensed and trained technician Andrew and assistant John to the home. Andrew went over the home and design with the customer. He got right to work with installing a 5 point radon mitigation system and mounting the fan on the exterior of the home with a fan housing cover.They also added in a muffler to reduce the noise of the radon fan. The customers immediatley provided positive feedback and were thrilled with out the installation turned out. "The crew was very polite and kept me informed throughout the process. We recently received their post test results back and we are glad to see they are averging levels at 1.4 PCI Level! It was truly a pleasure working with such awesome customers and knowing their home is now healthier because of the hard work and dedication we put into even the hardest designs.
