Jeff and his wife built their dream home back in 2007 and plan to stay in it forever. They wanted to be sure the home was safe from radon for their health and safety, and they also have kids and grandkids that come stay in the guest bedrooms down stairs so they wanted it taken care of for peace of mind. The couple had a quote from a different company that was given to them over the phone with a 5 year warranty on the fan. Turns out, this company is a national company that advertises radon all over the country, but they don't actually install the systems - they just sub contract somebody local once the customer agrees to it over the phone. Solution
Our System Design Specialist worked with Jeff and his wife to create exactly what they wanted in a radon mitigation system for their home. Our team of technicians installed an extraction point next to their sump pit, not in pit like the other company had suggested. We also installed a domed lid over sump pit to seal the radon from entering, and then routed the exhaust pipe into the garage and up into the garage attic, with a discharge through the roof for minimal appearance and great aesthetic.
