Two IAQ Service in One Day!
Radon Gas Remediation for Big Home in Friend, Nebraska 15 years ago the homeowners used plastic to line the crawl space to prevent soil gas intrusion. Found out that the covering is in major disrepair and will need to be removed. Educated homeowners about this and they agreed. The team will encapsulate the 2 areas on the east side of the home along with the crawlspace. It will be a 4-point system as the home is quite large. Three points in the crawl spaces where existing system is run. Plus one point under or next to the stairs. The area under the stairs is tight and will need to be encapsulated. The radon fan was replaced with a better one and the clients requested to keep the old. Everything went well and homeowners are happy!

Our technicians installed a one extraction point system with interior aesthetics, a muffler, domed sump cover with sump and discharge, and a UVC light. Afterward, Larry shared, "We were very pleased with the two gentlemen that worked on our radon system. They were pleasant and answered our questions. Cleaned up well afterward. We would definitely recommend them. Gave them a 10!"

Basement Turned Workspace Needs Protection
Marla was passionate about her quilt-making business and spent most of her days in the basement of her home where she had set up her workspace. One day, she stumbled upon Radon Defense's website and learned about the risks of radon gas. She realized that she and her employees had been breathing in radon gas for years and decided that she needed to take action. She contacted Radon Defense Midwest and they sent a team to test her home for radon gas. The results showed that the radon levels were high in the basement where she spent most of her time. The team recommended an active passive radon mitigation system to ensure her safety and protection. She was relieved to hear that the installation process would not take too long and the team was very professional and efficient. Within a few days, the system was installed, and Marla could breathe easier knowing that she and her employees were now protected from the harmful effects of radon gas.
Radon Mitigation - Osceola, NE
This 4-chamber home was radon tested and came out to be with 8.7 pCi/L on levels -- which is really high. It was an average duplex home and the area used to have brick floor but the homeowners decided to remove it and replaced it with gravel, plastic and concrete. It had an accessible crawlspace to work on and sump pit. We routed the installation plan into the crawlspace for second point and put the radon fan on the south side of home next to the downspout. The homeowner is very detail-oriented so we were really careful explaining every little bit of detail he needs to know. Same goes, they were satisfied how the radon mitigation system installation turned out! We hope you like farm fresh eggs because they were so generous in giving the team some, yummy!
