Radon Testing Before & After Photos

Met with the homeowner who manages a local bank and grew up in the area (Malvern, IA). He and his wife are expecting their first child and want to make the home safer. They had their home tested for radon and returned with levels of 10. Pretty worried, the team drafted their radon mitigation system. It starts with the sump pit with interior drain tile that is boxed in with wood. The husband will remove the wood box prior to installation. Route up and through drywall, core through block wall to exit home. Everything paid off after the installation. They were happy with how it turned out.

This client had health concerns and found out about the effects of high radon exposure. She is worried it might have affected her whole home so had done a test and returned with levels of 6. It's a mid-size home with big windows. Client was really eager to know how the installation process is and we drafted the plan along with explaining everything to her. The team met with Dave and Deb who were very nice and talkative. They also have 2 friendly dogs. The basement is finished and they have a 3 season room, deck, patio. No sump pit. The design will be sub slab extraction point under stairs in back corner, route up and exit through rim joist under stairs and exit house next to door on back patio and in corner. Place fan with cover and muffler on wall tucked in corner, then up and around soffit. They lived in the home for 31 years and just recently tested and became aware of levels of 8.4. They found us by searching "radon installers in Omaha" and we were on top of the list. Amazing!

Radon Mitigation in Aurelia, Iowa

Randy and his wife recently bought house from his mom. The basement is about half finished. They did a radon test and returned with levels of 15 and scared of possible future health concerns. Installation started with an extraction point in concrete shower and second point 12' away along back wall. Connected two points below electrical panel and above faucet. Exit home through rim joist that is above second point, 18' from corner of house. Route up and around soffit. Install domed lid in back corner and 20x25 Breathe EZ (additional protection). Everything went well!
